AEAF
About us
AEAF is a private initiative that selects fractional executives and advisors, so that a company can trust them before the first meeting.
Why AEAF exists
More and more experienced executives choose to work for several companies at once. And more and more companies need that seniority without being able, or willing, to hire it full time.
What was missing between them is the hardest thing to arrange on your own: a way of knowing, before the first meeting, that the professional meets a standard. AEAF exists to be that point of trust, so that getting it right does not depend on who you happen to know.

What AEAF does
- Decides who belongs to the alliance, by invitation or prior assessment.
- Listens to each company’s need and introduces the right members.
- Oversees compliance with the criteria and the code of conduct.
- Makes the fractional model better known in Spain.
What AEAF is not
- It is not an association or a professional body.
- It is not an employment agency or a temporary work agency.
- It charges no commission on the introductions it makes.
- It does not provide management or advisory services: its members do, each under their own brand, liability and terms.
AEAF starts as a private initiative. Should the alliance grow and its members so decide, it may in future take on an associative form with its own governance.
Founder of AEAF
The founder
Pablo Gómez-Acebo Calonje
Attorney and fractional legal director.
- Practice
- Attorney admitted in Madrid and New York
- Experience
- More than 25 years in corporate law and international transactions
- Education
- Law and Psychology
- Firm
- Founder of Estudio Jurídico Alta Mediación, devoted to preventing and resolving disputes within companies
He is behind AEAF because of his own experience as a fractional legal director: the conviction that the model works, and that companies lacked a reference point to be able to trust it.
That a lawyer is behind it is no accident. Trust between a company and an outside executive rests on written criteria, on a binding code, and on knowing precisely who answers for what. That is his trade.
